Hmm, this is a good topic I guess for an MPA student. What is the best thing about my community, especially if we are looking for something that is more or less provided and not just something like friendly neighbors or pleasant smiles on my drive home. Answer: The 4th of July fireworks at the local high school is not only a good event to support our US patriotism but also as a way to strengthen community ties and enjoy an evening outside.

This is the newest in a series of ventures to revitalise the downtown area. I'm a sucker for carousels, so I'm excited about this.

I'm way interested in city development. I like checking downtownrising.com (though it isn't updated much).

PS. I'd like the gift certificate.

My local community is not American so... I will say to my future community I really like that they have easily accessible recycling. Also I would like the membership.

I enjoy some of the subcultures in my community. There is a cycling culture, a whole foods culture. It's cool to connect with these people.

I like that I'm getting what I pay for -- the SIDS and HOA fees. My community is beautifully landscaped, constantly maintained, and a refreshing place to come home to. If there's ever an issue, like graffiti or vandalism, it's taken care of immediately. I know people have beefs with HOAs and community fees, but it beats an "anything goes" neighborhood where nothing gets taken care of.

I would like the restaurant gift certificate :)

I love my community! The rodeo they hosted last week was amazing. It was fun to come together with family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy a night of fun. The rodeo grounds have an amazing view of our community and it provided a great opportunity to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy as a nation and the history of our town. It was the perfect night!

My current community is much more diverse than where I grew up. I suppose you could say that's what attracts me to it: the differences. But I also like that there is a sense of community. It's not hard to live in a big city, because it isn't really a big city as much as a string of neighborhoods tied together. I like that I know my local grocer and dry cleaner. I'm even rather fond of the local hobo who lives by the subway. It's finding that community within something larger that makes me appreciate it.

I currently live in Centerville and I enjoy the small town feel of my community. July is the season of patriotic celebration and the people of Centerville really embrace the activities and come together to celebrate.

I love being able to access the mountains and the various activities they provide. We all need a little more nature in our lives.
